Chapter 02
History of my Instagram
Ten years, several redesigns, and one long attempt to make a feed feel like a carefully designed object.
2016
First Post
I started out with dance and reached the international Round of 32 at Respect My Talent. That early passion eventually evolved into a cross-media project that combined dance, storytelling, and visual art.
2018
Time in the USA
I studied in New York where I met the first Japanese friends who would later become an important part of my life. During this year I carefully curated my Instagram and grew my audience to around 5,000 followers.
2019
Tallinn University
I returned to Tallinn and enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Crossmedia. The program perfectly combined all of my interests: fashion, photography, videography, music, and dance. By then, my Instagram community had grown to over 10,000 followers.
2024
Fashion Pivot
I graduated from university, completed an internship in Valencia, Spain, and married the Japanese man I had met during my freshman year. I also enrolled in fashion design courses taught by Vasilisa Danavir, a Master's graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts. My Instagram reached over 30,000 followers, and I began preparing to launch my own fashion project.
2025
Editorial Voice
After moving to Tokyo, my Instagram account was unexpectedly deleted twice. The situation disrupted my plans and eventually led to a small-claims lawsuit against Meta Ireland. Information about the case is documented on my mother's account (@ir_tln). Because of this experience, I temporarily put my fashion project on hold, worried that a new account could disappear again. At the same time, I began attending Tokyo Fashion Week as accredited press and started building a TikTok presence as a potential long-term alternative to Instagram.
2026
Today
Half archive, half cinematic journal. More than 166,000 followers and a new beginning built on everything I have learned over the past decade.
Feed swatches — a year in tone.
